EyeBOX Concussion Testing

EyeBOX is an FDA-cleared examination to help in the diagnosis and management of TBI concussions. It is a 5-minute exam that uses over 200,000 data points by an algorithm based on the cranial nerve’s control over eye movements. When these nerves are impacted by a potential concussion, the EyeBOX measures the abnormal eye movements and provides a “BOX score” that correlates with the absence or presence of a concussion. This functional study does not require a baseline to assess the severity of a concussion or TBI and is especially useful in providing information which other structural studies of the brain, such as MRIs or CTs, may not be able to provide. Similar to our cognitive examinations, EyeBOX exams can be used to gauge the severity of a patient's condition and can be done on a frequent basis to follow and track TBI concussion improvement.
