(Electroencephalogram Studies)

This is a functional study of the activities of the cortex of the brain, which is the outer shell of the brain’s surface. This study helps in the diagnosis of epilepsy and seizures, and can also help in the workup of other conditions such as memory issues, fogginess of the mind, and syncope (passing out) episodes.  This study due to the fact that it is a functional study of the brain, it can provide diagnostic information that conventional structural studies such as brain MRI’s and CT’s may not.
